Avoid Class B drugs: Bentyl (dicyclomine) an anticholinergic prevents spasms in gut muscles and bladder by relaxing them. Fda classified Bentyl as type b drug, meaning effects of Bentyl on an unborn child has not been studied extensively. Bentyl should only be used during pregnancy if clearly needed. Notify prescribing doc if you become pregnant. Bentyl does pass into breast milk.
