can vomiting give you a heart attack, why would an ecg be done when you're having vomiting and diarrhea?

AMI: Acute myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) can atypically present with nausea and vomiting.. The ecg, among other tests, will help to exclude this.  Vomiting, in and by itself, is very very unlikely to stress you enough to cause a heart attack.

hello, my dad is 68 years old and has diabetes and had a heart attack last year. since yesterday, he has had diarrhea and feeling very weak. should i take him to the hospital or try some over the counter medication first?

Hospital: His weakness may be due to dehydration. If he cannot drink enough water, juice, weak tea etc. please take him to a hospital.

i have had bouts of diarrhea for 2 days with on and off nausea. could this be a heart attack? no one around me has been sick. no other issues. bp normal range. had nuclear stress test done 5 years ago and it came back normal after "abnormal" ekg?

Need to know Ur Age?: Shoulder pain can be due to some disorder of the shoulder joint. Yes it can also be a referred pain from a heart attack in the right age group(So we need to know your age). Moreover Heart attack pain does not last longer than  an hour or so and is associated with chest pain(pressure or tightness in the chest(behind the sternum(breast bone). You should get your shoulder checked for proper diagnosis

Less likely: It could be secondary to cervical radiculopathy, in other words nerves getting pinched in the neck. You need full evaluation see a doctor.
