You : You sound like you have 'occasional episodic dyspnea' and it might be suggestive of 'sigh' that is physiological about 6-8 times per hour in normal humans... Simply means longer and deeper breath or two, periodically. If it is more than this or not exactly how I am inferring your question to be, or shortness of breath is more of a concern, then it very well be that you need a 'work up' and evaluation. Talking to a good pulmonologist to check your lung function tests and imaging studies may be a good place to start.

is a 30 min walk as good as a vigorous 15 min bike ride with high intensity intervals? i'd like to find the quickest and easiest form of exercise.

Either: Training is used for multiple purposes.  While many exercise experts and trainers advocate high intensity short interval training with frequent variation to improve strength and endurance, walking for cardiac aerobic training often aims to push the heart rate to a certain aerobic target (65-80% of maximum predicted hr = 220-age).  Depends on your goals therefore.  Always try to push the envelope.

Cardio Mix: If you have adipose tissue to lose (not everyone does), then consider an increase in cardio and a balanced diet. However, do not always do the same exercise or you will increase your risks for stress injuries. Mix things up with walking, running, biking, swimming, or circuit training. Ultimately you need to burn more than you consume.

can you exercise with cellulitis? i was told walking is good and have been doing a lot of that but would like to start indoor cycling again?

Something is off: Cellulitis is a serious infection deep in the skin. It features fever, pain, pus. It is debilitating but treatable with antibiotic. Most cellulitis is a deep staph. infection.You neglected to describe it in any way! Note that a majority of "cellulitis" diagnoses by non-dermatologists are not correct. Most of them are stasis dermatitis. Walking is very good for stasis dermatitis.

Aerobic fitness: Walking, cycling and swimming are great activities to achieve aerobic fitness. Building up to  30 minute sessions 5 times a week with exercise heart rate at 70 per cent of age predicted maximum( 220 minus age) will help achieve cardiovascular fitness.

Exercise: Both are good ways to exercise.  It depends a little as to your height, weight, condition of your joints, and your current physical health.  I generally recommend to patients to start with a gentle exercise program, gradually building over time. For walking, find a comfortable route, or treadmill, proper shoes, start slow in time and speed. Gradually advance. Same with biking. Don't rush to be fit.

why should i take time from emphasizing walking/bike riding to do strength training or yoga? goal is to lose weight.

Strength training : Builds lean muscle mass which increases your metabolism allowing you to burn more calories for the same workout and you can make weight training a cardio event as well.  Yoga can allow you to better focus on your goal while maintaining  flexibility with your exercising to help minimize muscle aches and injuries for a well balanced workout of body and mind!

knees won't stop locking to the point i can't move them-what's wrong w/me?always active(walking-bike riding) i want to scream.how to stop it?in pain!

it may be a loose piece of bone or cartilage, meniscus or ligament tear.

sometimes my groin will go numb while i'm riding the exercise bike. today, it did this while i was walking. what do i do??

Pudendal nerve: Try lowering the nose of the seat on the bicycle. The seat may be pressing on the pudendal nerve. You may also try to get better cushioning on the seat. You could consider a different exercise like stair climber rather than exercise bike. 
It is good that you exercise and find a way to continue it.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.
