is beer or wine better to drink than hard liquor?

Alcohol is alcohol: As far as calories go, blood levels, getting drunk, potential damage to organs, risk for breast cancer, a drink is a drink (see my other answer for that).   
Speed of intake affects how much alcohol is absorbed, and blood levels, whether you nurse a beer, glass of wine, or mixed drink. Trace  vits, minerals, toxins, antiox minimal effects on health.  All may increase good cholesterol somewhat.

i am allergic to yeast. what alcoholic beverage is safe to drink? i know no beer, wine, hard ciders. any liquors or anything super filtered?

Need specialist : Real yeast allergy is uncommon and I would accept this diagnosis only from a full-time up-to-date allergist, probably wanting both a striking skin response and positive blood work. Such an individual would be able to use his/her encyclopedic knowledge of the contents of food to advise you. “Yeast allergy/hypersensitivity” as a diagnosis from any other practitioner — get a 2nd opinion.

why does my back hurt when i drink? i don't drink alcohol often, but when i drink certain drinks, the middle of my back hurts so badly that i am sometime paralyzed in pain. 
i can drink beer, wine, and most liquirs fine. i cannot drink any pre-mixed drink

Sometimes : Sometimes abdominal pain is referred to the back.  You could be having gerd (gastro-esophageal reflux disease), or symptoms of an ulcer.  Ulcer pain can cause pain in the back.  Ulcers can be caused by or worsened by alcohol intake.  You could also be having inflammation of your pancreas (pancreatitis).  Your body seems sensitive to alcohol so you should minimize alcohol intake.  Please see a physician to have your symptoms thoroughly evaluated.  If you have increased pain, vomiting, vomiting blood,  or light-headedness, then you would have to be seen as an emergency.

Blood in stool: Defecation of bright red blood is always of concern and you should see your doctor about this and find out what is wrong, and to help you with any treatment that is necessary.  Meanwhile do not drink wine.

i read that beer or liquor (example: vodka) are equally as good for your health (when having 1 drink per day) as wine.  is this really true?

Not all buzzes equal: 1.5 oz of liquor, 4-5 oz wine, 12 oz beer in US has generally same alcohol content. While controversial no alcohol is probably best but generally accepted 1-2/day max may be safe. Health benefits may vary, red wine generally accepted as better. In past showed greater association of cataracts with beer and hard liquor.  Bottom line occasionally one won't hurt. Don't save up for all 14 on weekend

Controversial: There are a lot of different opinions on this topic. Some studies link any amount of alcohol with increase risk of certain cancers. Then some studies support one drink of alcohol per day may increase good cholesterol and lower heart disease.

if tart cherry juice is good for gout then would hard tart cherry cider be a choice to drink rather than take up drinking beer again.  ?? red wine ??

No: Alcohol in any form is a common cause of gout. If you have gout you need to be on allopurinol to normalize the serum uric acid and prevent future attacks.

i have been having hives outbreak for the past 3 months on the head, face and upper body. the symptoms worsen when i drink alcohol esp. beer and wine.

Allergy: Probably an allergy to alcohol. Stop drinking it or see an allergist to confirm the diagnosis. Good Luck

Go ahead: 12  oz of beer with normal alcohol content or a glass of wine will not interfere with your uds on monday. In fact you could do the same sunday evening. Cheers.

what is the common ingredient besides alcohol of wine, beer, cider and some whiskey? when i drink one of them my nasal mucosa and sinuses are very swollen. i have also polyps in all sinuses. a year ago i could drink these drinks without any symptoms.

Sulfite Sensitivity: Sulfite sensitivity can develop by people. Beer, wine and cider may contain sulfites. Whiskey does not, but the mixers used to make mixed drinks may contain sulfites, especially drinks with dry citrus, such as sour mixers.   Reactions can range from mild nasal/sinus reactions to more severe including wheezing and difficulty breathing.
