Anemia: It is more likely that your irregular or heavy bleeding would lead to your iron def anemia rather than other way around. Iron can cause constipation or some abdominal discomfort. You may need to talk to your doctor about birth control pills or other types of hormones to help control your cycle.

I like the dreams: Well your dreams sound positive!  While there are a host of physical, hormonal, and not uncommonly, medical issues with a partner that can contribute yo infertility,  it seems women are more likely to get pregnant when they feel safe.  So have a simple check up..get some reassurance..not infrequently it takes time, more than a year or so,  even for quite fertile couples to conceive.

Reasonable: That regimen for pcos is reasonable. It may take longer for metformin to regulate periods. The addition of spironolactone, a pottasium sparing diuretic has been shown to increase the success at regulating periods in pcos. It also serves the dual function of decreasing water retention and blocking testosterone effect at the hair follicle, decreasing the hirsutism that can occur with pcos.

Common problem: Irregular periods are one of the most common problems obgyns treat. If this is one time problem it usually resolves on its own. If this is a recurring problem you should be evaluated. Infections &amp;  hormonal changes can cause spotting. If there is a concern for pregnancy then redo a home pregnancy test .  There are many options available to help regulate the menstrual cycle. Schedule a visit.

The two conditions: Are entirely different . The low count of your level of iron or Folic Acid will not affect how much your menstrual flow is . On the contrary , if your flow is heavy , you may develop iron deficiency anemia . Iron deficiency anemia in menstruating women is mostly due to heavy menstrual flow.
