Questionable: Inverted t waves in any one lead are of rather questionable value.  If you do not have any symptoms such as chest pains, sob, sweating without a reason, nausea or vomiting, i would not worry about it too much.

Accepted Answer

Yes: Yes, absolutely.  Avr usually has inverted t-waves normally.  If you invert left and right arm electrodes, avr becomes avl so now avl has inverted t waves (where as typically it does not).

Twave: Inverted t wave is a very nonspecific finding. Hcm is possible but not probable with only t wave abnormality.

They are: "similar" in that they are" NON-SPECIFIC"..that is NON-DIAGNOSTIC and , in fact, might best be considered NORMAL findings!  NO WORRY NECESSARY!

Not really: Not really. Those are just two different ways to describe the same abnormality seen in the ekg.

i have just had an ecg and the reading says i have an inverted t-wave and a deviant axis. i am a 46 year old who does endurance cycling, and want to know if this poses any risk to me? should i go and see a cardiologist?

Waves: T he inverted T waves could be significant. HOWEVER THEY ARE OFTEN NON SPECIFIC.I would see a cardiologist as he could do further testing to exclude any problems. Good Luck

74 years type 2 dm for past 20 years. last week chest pain while walking alone and got better when taking rest. ecg and echo normal .trop i score 9.2.tmt positive with downsloping st segment and t wave inversion reversed in recovery phase.diagnosis?

: It sounds like angina. The person may need a stress test to see what happens with exercise and, if ischemia is present, will need treatment. This person should be seeing a cardiologist. Best of luck to you!

i have eds & being tested for vascular eds. i had a recent ecg showing inverted t-wave in v2&v3. i'm 30y/old. i have frequent chest stabbing pain & palpitations & fainting for 8 years+. does my ecg point towards v-eds? should i be concerned?

Ehlers Danlos: The answer to your question requires an evaluation, physical exam, and testing. A chest xray can be helpful, but a CT-scan of the chest is more sensitive. the ECG is helpful but not diagnostic. If you have an Aortic aneurysm, that is serious and mandates treatment. Please do complete the testing recommended by your doctors. Good luck.

increasing pvcs during times of stress, with some short salvos. ekgs with j point elevation and inverted t wave in v1. normal echos, stress test, event monitor. normal cmri with contrast. ep doctor says rvot and benign. so, if nsvts should i forget?

Pvc's: It appears that the EP cardiologist feels that your findings don't require treatment after a thorough workup and no Brugada pattern or family history of cardiac arrests. The concern with RVOT ventricular irritability is whether it's an early  sign of arrythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy. For this reason I feel you require careful following by the EP and must report significant symptoms
