These : These are concerning symptoms and you need to be tested for infection.  You should have a complete gynecological evaluation and get tested for chlamydia and gonorrhea.  Please use condoms to prevent infeciton.  If you get increased pain, vomiting, or fever, then you would need to be seen immediately.

Intercourse when ill: This is a very good question. The medical answer may very well be no.  But, if the UTI is causing fever and pain....Then vaginal sex and even oral sex may increase the pain.

I would hope that your partner is patient and open to good communication so that if it hurts the activity causing pain can be stopped.

Yes: You may not want to if you have a uti, but the only thing you need to know is that if on birth control, antibiotics can decrease the effectiveness of the birth control, so you should use condoms wile on birth control (and remember also, condoms prevent sti's as well). Good luck.

Intercourse and UTI: Avoid vaginal infections, empty your bladder as soon as possible following intercourse, sometimes an antibacterial following intercourse will prevent uti's. Always drink plenty of fluids specially after intercourse.

UTI vs STD: A UTI (urinary tract infection) can include frequency, burning, foul odor, lower abdominal pain, or fatigue.  I would advise you to go to see a medical provider and have your urine undergo an evaluation for a UTI and  std's, which can cause similar symptoms.

BLUNTED KIDNEY: It is likely they are discribing a renal scar from infection and not intercourse. This will not likely resolve but a typical healthy person has lots of reserve function to make up for this loss. It typically has nothing to do with the ability get pregnant in the future.

Empty bladder after: The best way to prevent UTI after intercourse is for you and your partner to take a shower before intercourse and to empty your bladder immediately after intercourse.

See your doctor: See your doctor to confirm it is a bacterial uti.  He/she will prescribe an antibiotic.
