i discovered a small lump on my pectoral muscle?

Have it checked by -: your PCP and then a surgeon. It should be investigated and possibly removed or biopsied, or aspirated. 
Generally these lumps are benign, and could be a cyst, or a Lymph node, etc. 
Your examining physician should have a better sense and will decide what will be the best recourse to take.

i have a pulled right pectoral muscle. will a cortisone shot stop the pain for awhile?

: A cortisone shot would not be the best for pain or treatment of the pulled pectoral muscle. A ketorolac injection (as long as your kidney function is good) would help with pain and inflammation however and it does not need to be directly into the injured muscle. Ice, applying diclofenac gel and rest are helpful as well.

when i move my left shoulder, my left pectoral muscle hurts. is it probably okay for me wait and see what happens?

Yes, probably OK: Pain in your pectoralis muscle with shoulder motion is most likely from a strain from recent overuse of that muscle ( lifting, bench press, chest flies, etc.). Mild strains should resolve spontaneously with time for rest and muscle recuperation. The pain should generally reduce gradually but steadily in a couple days. Once full painfree motion returns, it is safe to resume normal activities.

See a doctor: Chest pain can  have many causes, including  inflammation of cartilage , muscle  strain,  lung disease and heart disease, so some chest pains are self limiting and others may  indicate significant disease. Please see your doctor for an evaluation.

Injury to fibers: Sounds like an injury to a select group of muscle fibers in the pectoral muscle (which is very broad and has many different fibers that are used more or less depending on the specific action you are performing). Strain or tear would be treated with anti-inflammatories and rest. If symptoms persist or are associated with a mass or other finding, you should see a doctor. Hope this helps!

Doctor can evaluate: A primary care doctor or a doctor in the E.R. Can evaluate to see if there is a problem with the pectoralis muscle, the ribs/cartilage of the chest, the heart and it's large vessels such as the aorta, the lungs, the esophagus, etc... A chest x-ray can be done to look at the heart and lungs. Further testing is available, if needed.

i've had muscle twitching in my left pectoral muscle for four days. it happens on and off at different times and at different intensities. no other symptoms or issues. i am 35, exercise 5 days a week, and in good health. what could be the cause?

Electrolyte : Alterations in your electrolytes through loss in sweat may be the cause.  Try drinking fruit juice with a small amount of added salt. Drink enough water so your urine is mostly colorless. If the symptoms persist for more than 2 weeks, it would be prudent to seea doctor.

Both are strains of: Pect ms. The tear is generally associated with its tendon part, ie being torn, while the pull refers to the muscular part of it.
Each muscle has a body (the fleshy part, muscular part) and a tendinous part, which attaches to a bone.
