Odd wording for post: Anyone who is sick is sometimes anxious about potential outcome. The cited findings are common, treatable &amp; considered relatively minor. You just likely have a lot of heartburn. The amount of anxiety anyone gets with a specific trigger varies. I wouldn't loose any sleep over this label but you may. I would just get treated &amp; get on with life.

Benzodiazepines like Ativan and Xanax (alprazolam) will be beneficial.
Discuss with Psychiatrist Medication benefits and side effects, dose and continue follow up
Do Exercise and Tai Chi.

Probablyoverreacting: There is always a possibility of acquiring a minor viral illness from public surfaces, which is why it is a good idea to wash your hands regularly (after using the toilet, before, eating, etc).  The substance splashing on you from a paper towel dispenser was probably water from someone who had just washed their hands.  So, the risk is probably very low.

No: Anxiety and stress should not account for persistence of enlarged lymph nodes well after an infection, which caused them to swell, has resolved. However the swollen glands take a period of time to shrivel and sometimes permanent slight enlargement remains after the lymph nodes have burnt out.

Well the first thing: Is to make sure that you are getting proper care for your urinary tract infection. Second, try deep breathing exercises. Breath in slowly through your nostrils. Hold air in your lungs for a five count before slowly exhaling through an open mouth. Repeat x 12 or more. Focus only on your breathing. Insure that you are drinking at least 64 ounces of water per day and sleeping 8 hours per night.

Yes : In certain cases increase in WBC can be reactive and as a result of stress ... If you don't have other signs of infection like fever etc you can be watched and another blood count in few weeks for re-evaluation.

: Epididymitis causes a lot of pain and swelling in the area. What you describe is more compatible with anxiety than epidid.  Specially with the tests being neg. Self diagnosis is not good and causes more anxiety. If you still worry see a Urologist to put the matter to rest. In the meantime wear a comfortable support underwear. I think you will be fine even without the Uro consult.
