i found that i have lung nodule 6*6mm
in my left lung ,thanks?

CT follow-up: Get a CT scan if not done yet. Isolated lung nodule of 6.6 mm is too small to be detected by PET-CT, and also too small to biopsy at this time. Your risk for primary lung cancer is relatively low given your young age and nonsmoker status. But I suggest you to see a lung doctor for opinion and CT follow-up. In addition, what did your MRI abd show?

hi, should a 6 mm lung nodule be taken seriously? 3 lung nodules were located 6 months ago 1 x 6mm ( right lung ) 2 x 5mm ( left lung),  my gp is not so bothered ,, should this be taken more seriously ? if not cancer why do lung nodules appear?

: It depends on your risk factors and more details are needed to answer this. Are you a smoker? If you are a smoker then the CT scan may need to be repeated in 3-6 months.  Your doctor can see the whole picture, so ask him or her.

Yes: Iflammation, sarcoid and of course cancer will show up on a pet/ct.

if a size of lung nodule increases from 8mm to 20 mm , is it always cancer, or could it stil be an infection causing increase in size , thanks?

Unpredictable: There is no certain way of knowing the cause of such a nodule that has grown in size. It is still more likely to be an active granuloma(infection, like fungus or tb) than a cancer. Either way it needs to be biopsied or removed surgically depending on the clinical picture and the location of the nodule.That is the only way to know if it is benign or malignant. Do let me know what happens next!

Lung Nodule: A solitary lung nodule must be followed closely or evaluated by biopsy or surgery as determined by your doctor, regardless of location in the lung.

what bloodwork would be used in diagnosing pancoast tumor? i am waiting to have ct scan due to apex lung nodule.

Usually none: A pancoast tumor (name of radiologist who described it), is a tumor involving a specific site in the lung, but it does not give the specific type. Usually they are adenocarcinoma or squamous cell carcinoma, but you need a biopsy to prove this. Do you smoke? You are young for a lung cancer, even though you have thallasemia. Do not worry until a biopsy and ct have been performed.

i have a 4mm lung  nodule on my right lung 2 on my left could it be cancer?

Could be: But could also be something else.  Can't really give you more than that without more info. I suppose the doc who ordered the study has a better idea than we do.

i just found out i have a 9mm noncalcified lung nodule in upper left lobe. dr wants to wait 3 months for a ct but im scared to wait that long. chances of it being cancer? i read that noncalcified and upper lobe is bad findings.

Know your risk facto: If you are that  concerned  speak frankly with your physician. If you have risk factors  like smoking, + family history of cancer you need to share that with your physician

Benign possibilities: There are many benign causes of a solitary pulmonary nodule. However, with a smoking history, you probably ought to have it biopsied, if possible, or even removed. last week, suddenly began experiencing weakness in arms and legs. it is now going on four days. had lung nodule in mar. 7mm found. waiting for ct scan in 2wks. also having left neck, collarbone and shoulder pain with seatbelt on in car. thoughts?
