Overuse: Costochondritis is inflammation of the cartilage between the sternum and ribs.  It is common although the cause is unknown and typically resolves spontaneously.  More common causes of chest pain in athletes are stress fractures of the ribs or sternum and intercostal muscle injury due to impact injury and overuse.  A trial of decreased training/sport may help but persistent pain should be evaluated

Heart is Fine: I am very surprised that any physician would put you through such extensive and expensive testing.  It actually blows my mind.  Your heart is fine.

Have you considered working with a personal trainer expert in weight lifting to see how you are lifting and what could be done differently to prevent or avoid too much pain with your workouts and post work out recovery.

Chest pain??: You should get that chest pain checked asap. Of course fast food is not the best option for any reason. We should know the cause of that chest pain in order to draw conclusions like that; go to an er or to a dr s office asap; and we will discuss it once you have a clear diagnosis of this pain.

Costocondritis: Without having much to go on, one possibilty is costocondritis. As the word implies, this is an inflammation of the rib cartilages. With breathing and therefore movement of the chest wall, this can elicit pain. This condition is usually self-limiting and the pain symptoms are treated with nsaids (motrin, for example).

Panic Disorder: In an nineteen year old female this is almost always likely to be stress and fatigue or anxiety.  But, if you really do have gerd (not usual in young females) then that can also be part of the problem as well.

Possible yes: of course; it is happening to you.  Throat and ear muscles and innervation are connected so you can experience crossover.  Esophagus is a continuation of throat and it does go through the chest, so if it is in spasm you could also have related chest pain.  However, this is not a safe way to learn what is actually happening to you.  You should discuss this &amp; all associated symptoms with clinician.

Yes: There are a number of causes.  You should be evaluated.  At age 20 it is unlikely it is cardiac.
