Myth: There is no adverse effect to the kidneys by drinking water at night other than perhaps having to get out of bed to urinate more often. The kidneys do not need to 'take a rest' like other parts of our body.

Seriously concerning: I can't comment on the quality of the health care you've already received, but I am VERY worried about you. Especially, I am seriously concerned that the vomiting you describe is due to acute pyelonephritis -- or that you have vomiting from some other cause and are now in kidney failure. You need to be under the care of a competent physician. Get to a major medical center now.

i have recently had pyelonephritis on my kidney. i have finished all my meds. can i drink a glass or 2 of wine or should i wait until my next scan?

No alcohol: Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it.
Wish you good health! - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex, if you have sex.

How much?: Why did you drink baking soda? A small amount is not going to have any effect. Even a large amount will get taken care of by the kidneys, without any damage to the kidney. It will not give acid, in fact baking soda is alkaline.

i have kidney pain when i drink coffee. i'll stop drinking it but do you think it will give me kidney stones, and is this normal?

Unclear.: "Kidney pain" is rare and usually only accompanies significant illness, like infection or stones. It is not clear that your coffee is causing pain in your kidneys, and coffee is not well related to flank pain in general. Kidney stones have both genetic and dietary predispositions; they are rare in people your age. Please see a doctor to determine the true cause of your flank pain and discuss.

See a doc right away: If it is really an infection, cranberry juice would not help. Medical studies have clearly established that is inferior to antibiotics. Get tested and treated appropriately.

i take cranberry pills sometimes just to flush out my kidneys and i drink plenty of water daily. im 22 the bottle says equivalent to 8,400mg of cranberry. is that too much? can that cause kidney stones? i read these pills can cause stones?

Not useful: Taking cranberry tablet is unlikely to be doing you any good, other than lightening your wallet. Drink enough water daily so that your urine is mostly colorless. 
Cranberry juice has lots of sugar, so be careful if you switch to juice.
Get HPV vaccine.

GFR: Kidney function is measured by glomerular filtration rate (gfr), creatinine & blood urea nitrogen (bun)
normal GFR is 60 %. 
If GFR is consistently lower than 40% chronic kidney disease is a concern. 
Complete kidney failure requiring dialysis occurs when GFR is close to 10%.
Consult a nephrologist to understand your current risk and take preventive methods to preserve their function.

can you drink slim fast with kidney diease?

Yes, but..: Slim fast has horrible ingredients, and I would not feed it to my dog if I had one..From their website, they list Hydrogenated soybean oil, High Fructose Corn syrup,  etc. Soybean oil will make you fat, and so will high fructose corn syrup. I have lots more to say, but 400 words is not enough. Suffice to say, stay away from Slim Fast! Eat whole foods instead.
