Why do you ask? : Twins and singletons do not have different growth curves at 12 weeks of pregnancy. All embryos should in fact be measured with crown-rump length in centimeters and not weight in grams. Normal crl is 5.4 cm.

While you: are overweight and eventually need to lose, you don't want to do that during your pregnancy, Check w/your OB and a good dietitian about a slow and moderate weight gain to insure a safe pregnancy, and then initiate a weight reduction program post-partum.

i am 40 years old expecting  my fifth baby all four babies delivered normally ihave 23 wksof pregnancy  my baby position is not ideal it is vertical ?

Confusing question: Babies are usually carried in a vertical position. Do you mean bottom first ? If so there is a chance that surgical delivery would be safer for a big baby. Yet you do have quite a while for baby to turn head down.

i have had preeclampsia in first pregnancy and preeclampsia & iugr in the second pregnancy and lost both babies i had via csection i hope i can have a child some day, how long is ideal to wait before trying again im fed up of being pregnant all year?

At least one year: between pregnancies would be my advice,  and see a doctor that cares for high risk pregnancies, PRIOR to starting the next pregnancy for best prevention care plan.

hw many times during pregnacy are u suppoe to go for an ultrasound to check the babies weight gain?

As needed: There is no specific recommendation for routine ultrasound exams during a normal pregnancy. However, most women are going to have at least one ultrasound at 18 to 21 weeks, the ideal time to evaluate for normal fetal structures. There will likely be additional sono's if there is a problem with the size of the uterus (abdominal measurements), gestational diabetes, elevated blood pressure, etc.

i am 4 months pregnant with twins and as part of yoga practice i have been holding my breath for 30-40 seconds for the past 15-20 days.read an article today itself that holding breath is not advisable during pregnancy.will my babies be ok?anxious now?

: Twin pregnancies need all the oxygen that they can get from the mother/you.  Although I am not your treating OB and unaware of your maternal history, now that you have discontinued the breath holding practice your pregnancy can continue without that as a concern.

i have a 2 month old baby. i had cold sores ever since my childhood. i also had it 3 times during my pregnancy and i got it now. i'm worried since i read it's dangerous in young babies. is my baby protected w/ my antibodies if i had it my whole life?

: This germ is deadly to babies born through a birth canal infected by the germ during the first outbreak. (Not your case here) It is seldom a problem when they are born to a woman with the history you cited. Your antibodies would protect baby during pregnancy &amp; for the first several months, but that would diminish over time.  If you feel a cold sore coming on avoid the kisses for a while.

i got my periods on 8th of every month.i have two babies one is of two years and my baby girl is 6 months old.im not having my periods not coming this month i have done pregnancy test it shows negative result.what should i do now to let my period com?

Hormonal imbalance: Menstrual irregularities are not uncommon and anovulatory cycle is a common cause. If you miss more than two periods it would be time to see your doctor. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time. You may consider implanted contraceptive or an IUD.

i'm 33. history of tiny uterine polyp. had two babies. before kids i was told i have a friable cervix and during each pregnancy. noticing after sex last two months within 24 hours i spot very very lightly. concerning ?

: A friable cervix means that the blood vessels are very superficial and can be irritated easily. Spotting after sex may mean that this irritation is causing some broken blood vessels which results in spotting. Make sure you are getting annual PAP smears and cultures to rule out HPV, Chlamydia, etc., and to visualize ther cervix and its health.
