Maybe: Aspirin causes platelet dysfunction and may lead to brain bleed but mostly in some type of trauma.

Unlikely problem: The brain is well protected and it is unlikely bumping your head against your dog would lead to hemorrhage in the head.

Not : Not sure how acute this is.  Is there swelling, redness, fevers, nausea?  That could mean infection on the neck lymph nodes, throat, ear, or dental...  Ear infections can cause this constalation of symptoms along with hearing loss/muffling, drainage from the ear, etc.  Jaw joint pain can radiate to the neck, ear, and head, can worsen with chewing, yawning, talking (but not always).  Many neck and throat issues can radiate to the ear and head areas.  If it seems like an infection, go to the urgent care, if it is more chronic and achy, it may be able to wait for primary care.

can i take advil for my sore throat since i think i am catching a cold even though i have had a concussion for three weeks? will it cause a brain bleed or anything since i know i'm not really supposed to take motrin with my concussion.

Brain bleed?: Unfortunately, head injuries and concussions are common. Stuff just happens. Theoretically, Motrin and Advil might have a higher chance of bleeding in the first days after a concussion, compared to Tylenol. In reality, haven't heard of people bleeding after a concussion merely because they took a few Motrin or Advil. See:

i am worried about taking 75mg aspirin 6 months after coiling of unruptured brain aneurysm. i had tias after surgery) incase of stomach or brain bleed?

Aspirin/coiling: Ask your neurointerventionalist to be certain, but that long after coiling the aneurysm is probably not still a concern for bleeding.  It is generally felt that low dose Aspirin is not related to increased bleeding risk and provides significant benefit in terms of heart attack and stroke prevention.

kind of freaking out. i have a mild concussion according to my doc. but i didnt realize i wasnt supposed to take ibuprofen. ive been taking it for headaches every other day for a week. am i going to have a brain bleed??

: Ibuprofen or other class of NSAIDs, although increase risk  of bleeding, but that happens when taken on a chronic/extended basis. You have taken only fro 3-4 days which is not considered harmful enough. And the commonest organs involved are esophagus, stomach or gastrointestinal tract. Tylenol would be your safe bet for pain. I wish you speedy recovery.

Why the gingko??: Yes, one of the adverse effects is poor clotting, and the two together would likely affect coagulation to a minor extent.  But who convinced you to waste your money on gingko, which has been extensively studied, and has no value in treating any medical conditions?  Furthermore, consumers union surveyed 10 bottles labeled for gingko, and most had zero herb contents.

: Aspirin raises the risk of various kinds of bleeding, but uncommon with daily low doses. When it occurs, gastrointestinal bleeding is the more common risk, not brain. In many people, the benefit of daily aspirin (primarily in preventing heart attack and stroke) outweighs the risk of bleeding, but this is controversial and recommendations have been changing. Stay tuned.

taking cod liver oil and red wine daily. told recently to take aspirin just discovered  ischaemic 2006 just worried about brain/stomach bleed.
