Evaluation: Hi, you can see a sleep doctor for evaluation and possible sleep study especially if you snore at night to rule out sleep apnea.

OSA: If you have sleep apnea. Typivally you don't feel rested in the morning.

Sleep Staging: Is done through recordings in a sleep lab by using measurements of the electrical activity in your brain/muscles while you sleep. You will always go through stage 1-2 which are light sleep, rem which is dream sleep, and at your age also stage 3 which is deep sleep. If you don't feel rested despite sleeping 8 hours you should speak to your doctor, who will ask evaluate you for a disorder.

Sleep hygiene: Here are some suggestions: (1) try to exercise at least 20-30 minutes a day; (2) avoid or minimize caffeine, nicotine, and alcohol; (3) relax before bed; (3) if possible, wake up with the sun, or use very bright lights in the morning; (4) don't lie in bed awake (get up and relax a while); (5) control your room temperature (keep it cool).

Depends: This is a wide open question.  Did you drink alcohol the night before?  If you did, this could make you feel nauseous.  If you had not had any nutritious food the night before or for breakfast, could cause nausea.  Is there a possibility you could be pregnant?  By not getting enough rest, do you mean you were up all night or just don't feel you slept well? See a physician if it continues.

i feel into a small hole yesterday. i've put ice on and off since incident. i usually go for a morning walk. should i rest it a bit more?

Pain: If you are having pain yes. Caution I have seen fracture from less. May want to see physician get x- ray.

Balanced & healthy: By age 65, a man has his likes and dislikes. He can think of all the foods he likes, and plan to eat a little bit of each every week. It should end up pretty balanced if there is variety. He may want to drink non-fat milk and throw out most of the egg yolks to decrease animal fats (eat only lean meat). Breads, pasta, or rice should be brown or whole grain. Eat lots of veggies, and not much fruit.

See doctor: Young man as you should not have BP high unless some medical reason. Ideal is BP &lt; 130/80. Watch sodium hidden in many foods! What is your BMI?? Diet? Exercise? Smoker? Energy drinks? Get clean eating habits, drink water.Goal BMI 25 or less. Eat fresh produce, fish, nuts- non salted. Walk 45 -60 min/ day. And see Doc!
