Sourbrash: Sounds like a good case of gerd (gastroesophageal reflux) with sourbrash (the copper taste you describe), perhaps exacerbated by delayed stomach emptying (the nausea).  I recommend stopping tobacco, alcohol, any non-prescribed nsaid's (aleve, advil, (ibuprofen) motrin), starting over-the-counter Prilosec daily before breakfast, & certainly pursuing formal evaluation particularly if symptoms persist or worsen.

Hypoglycemia: Sounds a little like your blood sugar may be low after a long fast.  Unless, of course you are pregnant!  Try eating a small protein snack at bedtime and keeping something like a banana to eat if you wake up in the night or as soon as you get up in the morning to see if it is better.  Follow with a good breakfast with lots of protein.  If it continues, yes, you should see someone.

Consider "central" causes: motion sickness, vertigo, migraine headache, brain problems (some very serious). Also, rule out infection (? Urinary tract), medication side effects, pregnancy, &amp; even reaction to stress. See doc &amp; treat cause.
