Just hold it: peritol is cyproheptadine, a sedating antihistamine, a very powerful appetite stimulant, don't take it frequently, get a doctor advice, you seem to have asthma as well, so ask your doctor about peritol, goodluck

Less likely: If all you have is a cold sore and drowsiness it is less likely you have herpes encephalitis. Should there be more concern for encephalitis then you will need to go to the emergency room to rule that out. Good luck

Viral: I think you've been battling a simple viral pharyngitis and headache and fatigue are part of it. Resting, drinking adequate fluids and taking acetaminophen are all you need to do at this time. Fever, chills, cough, chest discomfort and shortness of breath are symptoms which would warrant a call to your MD for further instruction and advice.

: I assume that the "normal" eye exam includes good vision on the eye chart. The work-up of a young person with the perception of unfocused vision should include a dilated exam including a refraction after dilation (rule out latent hyperopia), a line-scan OCT of the retina and a formal Humphrey VF test. If those were not done then get retested by an ophthalmologist. Blood glucose and chemistry also.

sleepiness: Excessive sleepiness may be a symptom that can be very dangerous symptom due to the risk of accidents at work or driving etc. You can see how sleepy your are by googling ess and completing the scale. You may just need to be more active. If you need  treatment start by seeing your primary care to clarify the cause.  Causes might include shift work, sleep apnea, insomnia, medications, or narcolepsy.

Quality not quantity: Drowsiness despite getting "a lot of sleep" can be due poor quality of sleep.  One feels most rested when they get good quality, deep, restful sleep.  See your doctor as there can be many reasons why one gets sufficient quantity but insufficient quality of sleep.

Investigate: First find out why you are sleepy? Is it due to daytime overactivity, disease or drugs? Is it due sleep related problems such as restless legs, sleep apnea, excessive night-time stimulation, worry, pain conditions, dietary issues, bad mattress, noisy neighbors, pets in bed, etc. Then correct the problem. Know, then go (for a correction).
