Not to worry: you have a "contusion" or "bruising" and hit the nerve as well as the veins in your wrist. ICE is the best INITIAL treatment followed by HEAT after the first 48 hours!
Your symptoms should resolve within 7 days   If still symptomatic after a week check it out with your PCP (Primary Care Provider)

Common/not a problem: Some veins are tied down in such a way that trauma will crack them open. If so there will be blood ooze into the area producing local swelling. The bleeding would stop when the confined space produces enough local pressure to prevent more oozing. In time the body will sort this out, the bruise will fade &amp; the vein will heal.

Ice.: Ice the wrist for 20 minutes at a time, 3-4 times per day. Also, take an over the counter anti-inflammatory medication.

Possible: It is certainly is possible to be fractured.  If it seems to be worsening or not improving over days after the injury, it definitely needs to be checked out.

Yes: Sounds like you accidentally discovered your wrists have unequal size or circumference. The history of injury in the bigger wrist makes sense. Somehow in healing the wrist got bigger. If you have pain and warmth and redness at wrist, it may be a sign of ongoing inflammation.

Swelling near nerve: Swelling can squeeze the nerves and cause carpal tunnel syndrome. Just because no bones broken doesn't mean no injury. See an orthopedic surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.

yesterday i noticed that my right wrist veins (where you can check your pulse) my veins where bulged swollen darker blue then usual and very painful. i didn't hit it on anything and never experienced it before but today, the painis worse. what is it?

: Vein pain can be related to outside temperatures and muscle strains which should self resolve. Thrombophlebitis, chronic venous insufficiency and varicose veins usually present  with symptoms of underlying diseases. If it persists, please see your doctor today as weekend is approaching. : If you do not see significant wrist deformity and you can move the wrist with some tolerable pain you have a wrist sprain. Just apply ice pack every 4-6 hours, restrict wrist activity, raise wrist above heart level at rest, take tylenol or advil, prn. for pain for a couple days. If there is significant deformity and/or your wrist' s range of motion is severely limited, you should go to urgent care

Recommendation : Possible you have a sprain of your wrist. In this condition you need to put ice on wrist for 20-30 min through the first 12 hours and then to put nsome splint for wrist. You can buy it in any pharmacy. If pain and swelling will be worse you need evaluation with X-ray. Go to ER or urgent clinic.
