i have severe constipation tried all medicines. i get constipated for like 2 weeks. feels horrible. please suggest something i can do. please :(?

All medicines?: You've tried all possible remedies?!  An answer to why the constipation is indicated.   You could be hypothyroid, depressed, etc. let alone colon problems

In terms of "natural remedies"  I suggest a big glass of warm prune juice with breakfast and a glycerine or dulcolax suppository about an hour after same.   But please try and get an explanation for why.   Your body is telling you something.

i have severe constipation. and have been using movicol for 3 month but its not getting better.  i get hurt everytime i go to the toilet.

Time to get checked: 3 months of severe constipation warrants a checkup - your doctor will likely do a rectal exam and make sure there is nothing concerning.  Your doctor will also ask about your diet -making sure you're getting enough fiber and water.  Please see your doc, best of luck!

i have severe constipation after 2day fast. will enema help?

Maybe: If you feel like there is stool in your rectum, a fleet enema (sodium bisphosphate) or glycerine suppository may relieve the blockage and get you going again. If no stool in rectum, take some milk of magnesia 1-2 tbsp at bedtime tonite and stay on liquids until you are moving things through again.

i was diagnosed with mono december 16, on the 31st negative. 5 days ago my spleen suddenly enlarged and i have severe constipation should i worry?

Try everything: Major drawback to narcotics is that they are extremely constipating. Miralax, (polyethylene glycol) water, fiber, stool softeners can all be tried, alone or in combination.

High fiber and water: You can increase the fiber in your diet and drink at least 2 litres of water everyday.

i have severe constipation but when i do go my stool is green. what can i do to regulate this. it's been 4 days.

Fiber laxative: Try taking a fiber laxative like metamucil. Increase the dose gradually to suit your needs.
Drink enough water to keep hydrated and exercise about 30 minutes/day.

Depends on cause: It depends on what other meds you have tried - a variety of new meds exist such as polyethylene glycol and even newer ones in the last year or so that require a prescription you should see your doctor again.

Check thyroid levels: Low thyroid levels i.e. Hypothyroidism can cause condtipation. Make sure your levels are ok. If they are ok , try some mild otc laxative to see if this helps. If not, see your physician.

it is 3mon post csection.i have severe constipation.does staining during bowel causes hernia? i am scared!! do stitches cut open.what should i avoid?

Very Little: Three months is the standard time for complete healing of most abdominal wall incisions (time to reach &gt;90% of preoperative strength). Infection and re-operation through the same incision affect the healing time adversely, Diabetes, heart or vascular disease, smoking and obesity also impair the normal wound healing process. Check with your surgeon.
