Likely primary : Most headaches not serious. However, first your doctor will determine what type of headache you have. Headaches have many causes i suggest you see your physician and discuss a plan to determine the cause. Your doctor might order imaging of brain and optic nerve exam to rule out serious conditions. Neck pain: It could be due to a strained muscle or due to muscular tension/ posture related. It could also mean something sinister such as inflammation or infection of the meninges which is the sac surrounding the brain and spinal cod. It is difficult to tell without examination. See your doctor

The headaches are usually bilateral and diffuse and often have tenderness in the cervical muscles (neck), vertigo, dizziness as well as pain in the pericranial muscles. my 80 lb dog was playing and accidentally hit her head into the back left side of my head. eyes are dilated evenly.  no vomiting, etc.  just a headache/slight neck ache. no vision problems.  any areas of concern?  thank you.

As the body responds, lymph nodes at neck can become inflammed and cause head and neck pain as well as an overall feeling of fatigue and low fever. Try a nasal saline wash followed by an oral decongestant/spray decongestant. Use Acetaminophen for pain.

Dental source likely: Your symptoms sound like a common "toothache".  When the pulp("nerve") of a lower tooth abscesses, the pain commonly radiates to the ear, etc. Have the area xrayed at your dentist.

This can be associated with disorders of the temporal mandibular joint (tmj).  That is where the jaw connects to the bones near the ear and neck.  A thorough medical evaluation including dental x-rays and neck x-rays would be appropriate.
