OBGYN: I would start with the OBGYN who can further explain both the normal variations in genital features &amp; risks involved with HPV. If they think the mole is worth further study they can either biopsy it or refer you out.

Moles: Moles can change. Usually changing to a darker color is a warning sign. If asymmetry to the mole, darker within lighter areas or it has gotten larger in size, then I would have it seen by your MD.

Have it checked: Best to have it checked by a dermatologist.  Dermatologists are trained to look at all skin, no matter where on the body it is.

Need to examine: It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see a doctor. You may watch and wait. If the mole doubles in size, becomes irregular in size, shape or color, bleeds, ulcerates or develops a nodule, see a doctor.

6yr old child has 5mm raised mole.  present for many years.   mole is light - medium brown with pin head size darker area.    over last month no changes.   hair in mole  is this  a cause for worry.

Leave it alone: There's nothing to suggest malignancy. Hair present actually speaks against an concern. Show the physician on the next visit. All pigmented lesions in kids do need to be checked; i'm glad you're monitoring it closely.

Usually benign: Skin cancer as a rule increases in size, changes color with time, has irregular border, assymetrical feature.

Skin tag/mole:  Skin tags can have different appearances. However, this lesion would likely need to be examined and more history obtained to be able to provide you with useful input about the diagnosis or possible treatment.

Mouth lesion: Brown scale on uvula is atypical as the membrane is usually wet. The fact there was scaling and now a pigmented lesion merits a direct examination and possible biopsy. I f the lesion is there for more than few days do not mess with it , get it evaluated by ENT MD

Should not be: With a simple mole removal, it should not interfere with sexual function. Furthermore your wounds should be sufficiently healed at six weeks to permit normal sex. Hypersensitivity or mild numbness immediately around the incision may be normal. However what you are describing does not sound typical. See your surgeon.
