Usually benign: Skin cancer as a rule increases in size, changes color with time, has irregular border, assymetrical feature. Google on line for images of skin cancer. Be examined if you're concerned. Take care!

Unlikely: 3 mm is quite small. If it is unchanged in over a year, symmetrical, and fairly uniform in color it almost certainly a benign mole (nevus). Melanomas usually change in color or have color variation, grow in size, and have asymmetrical borders.

Have new ones checkd: Although changes in our skin are normal as we age, if u notice new changes that r concerning have them looked at by your regular doctor. Most benign skin changes are easy to identify by looking at them. Skin cancer identification is defined by the a, b, c's. A- area or size changes. B- borders that are irregular, c-color (multiple colors are concerning) there are some more features but these r basics.
