See doctor today: You may have an infection either of the ear canal or of the middle ear.  See your physician today.  The problem should be readily solvable and the pain won't go away until you get it treated

Air from the ear: You probably had a popping in your ears that results from the ear drum moving from the ear escaping from the rust schism tube.  It sounds like a crackle in the ear and does not happen often.  If the noise bothers you, you can try to hold your nose a blow air into the middle ear space by forcing air into the Eustachian tube by blowing against pursed lips as if blowing a balloon up and they will pop

Muscle pain: this is typical muscle pain.. Please use Tylenol (acetaminophen) if your liver is Norma and use ibuprofen if your kidneys are normal and no history of stomach ulcer.. Massage should also help

Referred pain from an irritated or pinched nerve can also cause this. Other conditions are possible. You should see your doctor for an exam to make sure its nothing more serious and to get the correct diagnosis and treatment.
