The : The GI (gastrointestinal) symptoms you described may be related to an infectious process. However, it is more likely that you are dealing with a viral gastroenteritis as opposed to an intestinal infection. The symptoms usually resolve in about a week or so. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids. If you are not better yet and/or have fever, blood or mucous in your stool, seek medical care right away.

Could be.: Sounds like tail end of viral syndrome.  Protracted cough can induce headache. As long as you are continuing to improve you may be able to avoid the doctor.

May be a migraine: Do you have light sensitivity?  Do you have a throbbing or pulsating headache?  If yes, then you probably have a migraine.  It may help you to have treatment with a medicine such as sumatriptan, or ketorolac, to have relief.  Do not fear, this kind of headache does get better soon!

If you do not have these symptoms, or if you do, an evaluation is also a good idea.

can someone overdose on advil? like if they take too much in one sitting? i get some painful headaches so i'm wondering if i were to take like idk 20 would i die from it or would you need more for that? and whats the safest amount to take for headach?

: With advil OTC, the strength is 200 mg for one tablet and an otherwise healthy young adult can take a maximal dose of 600 mg (3 tablets of 200 mg) every 6 or 800 mg (4 tablet of 200 mg) every 8 hours so the total tablets should not more than 12 tablets of 200 mg in 24 hours.
For headache, you should not take more than twice a day at maximal dose and do not take more than 2 days a week. Take care.

Headache & vomiting : Although Ibuprofen (advil, motrin) can cause vomiting due to stomach irritation, vomiting associated with headache can portend a more serous illness like migraine, meningitis, brain tumor, etc. If persistent, consult your physician.

Tylenol: They both may relieve headache. Advil has an additional effect of being anti-inflammatory and Tylenol does not but doesn't irritate the stomach lining or cause fluid retention. Because of this I would favor taking Tylenol if it's effective.

No.: Excedrin and Advil have different pathways for working on pain and it is difficult to say which one works better for chronic headaches. Everyone is different. Advil is a stronger medication than Excedrin but Excedrin can work better in some people. You simply have to try both and see for yourself.

Yes: 400 mg or even 600 depending on the size of the teen. Always take it with food. Check with your doctor if there are other medications the patient is taking to be sure there is no drug interaction. See your doctor if the headaches are getting worse, happening more often, or if they are accompanied by other symptoms such as difficulty walking, unsteady gait, vision changes, personality changes etc.

Commonly used: but better check with your doc. You may need MRA. Ask about it. Although it may not be necessary.

Yes: Advil (ibuprofen) can be taken up to 4x a day as needed  for pain. Watch out for GU adverse effects
