No.: Excedrin and Advil have different pathways for working on pain and it is difficult to say which one works better for chronic headaches. Everyone is different. Advil is a stronger medication than Excedrin but Excedrin can work better in some people. You simply have to try both and see for yourself.

Chronic headaches: Excedrin has the following: Aspirin/acetaminiophen/caffeine 250mg/250mg/65mg. Advil the following: Ibuprofen. For headaches some people find the aspirin and caffeine combo helpful. For others the primary NSAiD benefit of Ibuprofen better.
