If it sore or not!: No pain, probably a lipoma or non-infected cyst. You could have focal spasm.  Heat and massage may help and won't hurt.  If it doesn't go away see your doc.

Hurts or Hot?: If so, then ice may be helpful.  However I would recommend you see your doctor to figure out what it could be.  Options include swollen lymph node, boil, lipoma or even a taut muscle band/spasm.

i think i got a heat rash on my neck from the heat a few days ago. the bumps are either red or look like whiteheads and are super itchy what can i do?

Heat Rash: A heat rash is usually red and non itchy. It often resolves with a cool compress and getting out of the heat. The fact that the rash is persisting and contains whit bumps suggests you were in contact with something you may be sensitive to. Try Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and a mild hydrocortisone cream topically to see if this helps. Follow up with your doctor. All the best.

Folliculitis: You may have a low grade infection of your hair follicles duebto your sweating. Apply an antibiotic ointment to your rash until you can get an appointment with your doctor or dermatologist.

my 1 month old has heat bumps that makes his skin dry and peels; particularly his face and neck. what can i do to stop it and how long will it take for the pigmentation in his skin to come back?

: At this age, the baby's skin is very delicate. Avoid contact with shampoo and soap. Wash linens and towels in a fragrance free baby detergent. Avoid direct exposure to the elements. Pigmentation may take weeks to normalize. In the meantime, watch for signs of infection such as fever or poor feeding.  Discuss the use of a gentle eczema cream for the face during a virtual visit with Healthtap or PCP

Heat bumps: Heat bumps only occur when you are hot and sweating, they may last more than a day in one spot. Hives are fleeting and have different triggers and heat is just one trigger. Have your lesions examined by an allergist to determine which is which and how to treat your symptoms. Both can occur anywhere on your skin.

Definitely: Among others, deep abscesses, such as the ones seen in hidradenitis suppurativa may be the cause and specific treatment will be needed. See your GP or an urgent care facility.

Normal.: This is how the body heals. It will take a few more weeks but the inflammation after the injury is how the body heals. Give it more time and you can just leave it alone.

Bump on the back : The "back" has a lot of normal hard bumps;  from the spine called spinous processes, the sacrum (part of the back of the pelvis)  has bumps as does the iliac crest. You can look at them on the internet. A tense neck should be evaluated in person. It can be from muscle tension, pinched nerves, arthritis, disc disease, infections, or emotional stresses.
