At this age, the baby's skin is very delicate. Avoid contact with shampoo and soap. Wash linens and towels in a fragrance free baby detergent. Avoid direct exposure to the elements. Pigmentation may take weeks to normalize. In the meantime, watch for signs of infection such as fever or poor feeding. Discuss the use of a gentle eczema cream for the face during a virtual visit with Healthtap or PCP
