Yes, it is: Many organs that we have in pair differ in size. In case of the ovary the larger ovary can be the one with a smaller follicle cyst.

i am 43. last cycle i experienced spotting mid-cycle. ultrasound yesterday showed one ovary 3cm & another 5cm (structurally normal). is this normal?

: The volumes are consistent with ovulation or rupture of the "4 cm cyst, left ovary".  The ultrasound exam does not separate normal follicular cysts from those which occur just prior to ovulation ( the "4 cm cyst"). If irregular periods persist, you may have polycystic ovarian syndrome, and oral bcp's are the treatment recommended. Ask your gyn provider about low dose bcp's.

one of my ovaries is enlarged so i had an ultrasound yesterday. today they called me and said i need to come in tomorrow for bloodwork and then ct scan this friday. i'm very nervous -what should i ask?

See answer: Anxiety, fear, nervousness all normal emotions at this time. Important to keep in perspective that most cases of an enlarged ovary are not serious and your physician is doing these additional tests to get as much information as possible regarding the cause. The additional blood work and more detailed pictures provided by ct will help provide your md with this information. Remain relaxed + positive.

on ultrasound 1 ovary measures bigger then the other one, bigger one sized 32x23x22cm ,is this normal?, i also ve condition called  polycystic ovaries

PCOS ovaries: PCOS ovaries are, by the usual definition, enlarged. They will not always enlarge to the same degree just like breast sizes.

i had ultrasound showing polycystic and bulky ovaries, after one round of clomid (clomiphene) ultrasound shows normal ovary size and no cyst, what does it mean?

No sure: Not sure what you are asking. If the Clomid (clomiphene) did not work it may be that the amount you received was not enough.

yellow discharge and occasional uterine pain since embed iud removed in march. first culture showed groupb second showed bv. ultrasound showed some fluid around one ovary. is this concerning? everything else looked normal?

That is not a: description that conveys any useful information, unfortunately.  Trying to interpret the ultrasound on the screen without training is impossible. Best to talk to your doc about the results.  It may be nothing.

x-ray of pelvis and right hip found joints appearing normal. right groin ultrasound found prominent  hip joint effusion indicating underlying synovitis. 2 weeks on anti inflammatory meds symptoms improved. one week later hip pain returned. what next?

Hip injection: You have an underlying inflammatory response as evidenced by your effusion. I would see about having a X-ray guided hip injection. The fluid aspirated can be examined and steroids can be injected for reduction of symptoms.
