One of my ovaries is enlarged so i had an ultrasound yesterday. today they called me and said i need to come in tomorrow for bloodwork and then ct scan this friday. i'm very nervous -what should i ask?

See answer: Anxiety, fear, nervousness all normal emotions at this time. Important to keep in perspective that most cases of an enlarged ovary are not serious and your physician is doing these additional tests to get as much information as possible regarding the cause. The additional blood work and more detailed pictures provided by ct will help provide your md with this information. Remain relaxed + positive.

Questions: You should ask if you have a simple cyst (most likely benign) or a complex cyst vs mass. The later are slightly more likely malignant but most ovarian lesions are benign. Don't panic.

US results: You can ask your doc what the us showed. I cannot think of anything else to ask really but the results of the ultrasound.
