for the past 3 months i have been having clear discharge from both ears. sometimes there is a slight odor.  both ears have very dry skin on the outside and near opening of ears. when i remove it, i get more discharge. no other cold or allergy symptom?

Ear d/c dry skin: Follow up with ENT, they can clean out the ear and also take samples with appropriate equipment  as may be fungal /bacterial  infection, or eczema/psoriasis ( for this you may consider dermatologist as well)

my 14 month old got tubes 8 days ago. there is still heavy drainage from both ears. is this normal?

Persistent: Drainage post myringotomy tubes for more than three days is not normal. You need to call your physician. In meantime , continue your ear drops.

my step son is ten years old and has drainage coming out of both ears he has had a low grade fever  what should  we do  ..take him to the er?

Otitis Externa: It sounds like he has some form of otitis (externa) or possible draining otitis media with perforation. Regardless of whether he has a fever or not (most doctors consider >100.4 f a fever), he will need an exam by a physician and then likely need antibiotics. If you have a primary care doctor you can bring your child to that person or you can go to the emergency dept.

my son has dark red and light red drainage in his left ear... he has tubes in both ears.  just saw ent on thursday and was ok. what does that mean?

Usually infection: Having myringotomy tubes in place prevents infection from staying in the middle ear space. When an ear infection occurs it will drain out the ear canal. Usually this is treated with antibiotic drops.

Best thing is to: check if you have a wax buildup in  one or both ears.  It is  the most common cause of your symptom.

i have had a few episodes where i have an insanely loud roaring going on in both ears and it kind of takes over. i can hear people talk but its extremely low, but other sounds are amplified. i get really tired afterwards and have a headache after?
