does tongue cancer hurt?im pretty confident i bit my tongue but cant remember when.for 2 days now i have a sore bite bump on my tongue and its starting to scare me.its whiteish, small & tender.gargled w/ peroxide 2day to see if it helps.worried?

Oral Cancer: You've bitten your tongue, you need to give it time to heal. It may take a week or two. At 23, without underlying social habits (smoking, chewing tobacco, etc) the chances of cancer is almost zero. If your sorely bitten tongue does not heal within two weeks, please see an oral surgeon for an evaluation.

hi... i don't know if i bit my tongue or not or maybe it's a canker sore but it hurts on the left side... my left ear hurts now when ever i move my to?

Would have to see it: To answer this question, a doctor would have to see your tongue, and probably your ear.  A canker sore looks like a perfectly round hole.  A bite looks like a scrape.  While it is common to feel like problems with your mouth cause pain in your ear, no one can tell you if your ear is OK without looking inside it.  If it persists, you should see your doctor or go to an urgent care.

i bit my tongue.  what can i use to get rid of the soreness ?

Tongue bite: If the laceration is big enough, have it evaluated at the ed. Often, the tears are small. Appy an ice cube over it or keep cold water in your mouth to reduce bleeding and allay the pain, initially. Also, refrain from acidic foods and juices until the pain goes away.  Afterwards, rinsing with salt water 3x a day will help.

bit my tongue in my sleep, may have had a partial seizure during the night, not sure. tongue is swollen and sore. what can i do to help heal my tongue?

It will heal soon: You can take a couple of tylenols (acetaminophen) as needed(6 hourly). This will relieve the soreness . Also use mouth rinses with lukewarm water to keep it clean . The swelling will go away and it should begin healing in 24-48 hours. Such cuts on the  tongue are completely healed in 4-5 days.

left side of my tongue is in pain as if i bit my tongue. my throat gets sore and then i get a headache. happens a couple times a year, heals in a week?

If you: Haven't done so it would be wise to let a physician see this when it is acute.  Have you noted an ulcer on the tongue when this occurs?  Almost sounds like herpetic stomatitis/pharyngits but difficult to tell without examining.  It tends to recur, and recur in the same location.

First, pressure.: Use some gauze to get some traction and really apply continuous pressure to the wound with your fingers. Try to hold as long as you can, 20-30 min,  with a minimum of checking. The tongue is rich in blood vessels and can bleed quite a bit. It should stop with pressure. Repair of tongue lacerations is controversial, and limited to very large, deep cuts. If it does not stop, then seek evaluation.

See a Dentist: There are a number of posibilities. You need a vdiagnosis based on an oral exam. Since you are concerned, see a dentist or oral surgeon.
