Poor control: Although your doc may tell you, your numbers are fine, it is possible that you are not under optimal control. Anhedonia (numb emotionally) may be coming form insufficient hormone or hormone action. Your TSH should be between 1-2, your ft4 normal and total T3 (liothyronine) normal showing optimal conversion. Generics have erratic content as well as absorption. Follow instructions exactly.

Possibly: Hypothyroidism causes thickening of the covering around tendons called synovium. In some parts of the body, like the carpal tunnel, there is only so much space. If the space is filled with the thicker synovium then the nerve that also is in the carpal tunnel gets pinched. That causes numbness and/or tingling.

YES.: One of the clinical signs of hypothyroidism is the enlargement of the tongue due to accumulation of( glycosaminoglycans) tissue . This condition is accompanied by other signs also. Since the tongue grows big, it will be a "normal" condition for the same to protrude.

Anxiety symptoms: Anxiety can cause many things, including feeling like your throat is closing.  I suspect that this is what you are feeling.  See your doctor to be evaluated.  Feel better!

"went rigid": First have her check her thyroid labs.
Her left arm trouble suggests nerve damage. Please have her doctor refer her to a Neurologist if the doctor cannot diagnose the cause.

Correct meds: Are you getting the correct meds? Check free T3 and reverse t3. Ft3 should be in upper range and rt3 in lower range. If your ratio is off, you may need Armour Thyroid or t3, and synthroid (thyroxine) would be the wrong med for you. Also check spot urine iodine to make sure you are not deficient.
