See below: Once yourthyroid gland is completely removed you would not have any thyroid hormones left to cause hyperthyroidism(excess of thyroid hormone) unless you are taking too much of thyroid hormone by mouth.Ask your endocrinologist who is treating you already.

Depends: Hi. Goiter (abnormal size/shape of thyroid) can occur with hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, and euthyroidism. Broadly, goiter results from autoimmunity, benign tumors, or cancers. Other ways: There are other ways to solve this problem.  Radioactive iodine can be used to control your thyroid gland as well. It essentially kills off thyroid tissue. It may be necessary for you to take a thyroid supplement over time.  Another option is surgery to remove the gland completely.  Again, with surgery, you will need to take a life-long thyroid hormone pill.

Need more details: We need more information regarding the cause for your hyperthyroidism.  The most common cause in the US is Graves disease.  This can be treated with antithyroid drugs or radioactive iodine (RAI).  In Pakistan you may have more toxic nodular goiter.  This can be temporarily treated with pills, but will eventually require RAI or surgery, depending on the size of your thyroid.  1.3 cm is not very big

If your: Pituitary is responsible for hypothyroidism, by definition your TSH will be low. That's what causes the thyroid deficiency. If it is normal, and your free T4 is normal, you do not have hypothyroidism or are on replacement, possibly unnecessarily. Check w/your doctor or see an endocrinologist.

Goiter: Excellent question! Hyperthyroidism often results when the thyroid enlarges (goiter) and produces too much hormone, If it is producing too little hormone (hypothyroidism), the pituitary gland senses this and produces thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), which makes the thyroid grow in an attmpt to produce more hormone. So goiter is possible with both hypo and hyperthyroidism.

: I wouldn't have anything done to your neck until thyroid inflammation has completely resolved.

: Too much thyroid medication or something else. Not likely adrenal.

No: Usually dental problems don't cause thyroid issues. In some cases, the thyroid gland can get large enough to have some mass effect on the esophagus but not a click per se. See a doctor soon for further evaluation.

Hyperthyroidism: There are several causes of hyperthyroidism, the most common of which are Graves disease and Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Given the secondary impacts on other organs, the diagnosis needs to be clarified and determined as early as possible so treatment can begin. Both of these causes could be associated with the symptoms you describe. Get your further testing done and get treatment going.
