The most common side effect of ace-i's is a dry cough. If it occurs with one, it will likely occur with another ace-i.  You should ask your physician why the change is being considered.

Usually yes: If it comes from reputable source.  Hydrochlorothiazide is a drug that has been around for many years, so many manufacturers make them.  Proof is control of bp, so try the generic and monitor your bp.  If it is still controlled, you can stick with it.

Many possibilities: A TIA affecting vertebra-basilar circulation is well-known to cause similar symptoms.  Postural hypotension would not be the best explanation.  An epileptic event could be considered.  See a neurologist, if possible, and sort out the various considerations.  But if you are having TIA's, this is indicative of a stroke risk, and time becomes of the essence.

Htn: Diastolic BP is borderline high @ 90, should be around 80, modify your diet, avoid salt, fried food, exercise, if this does not bring down the bp, option is to increase the dose to 80 mg or add diuretic ( water pill - hydrochlorothiazide), starting @ 12.5mg daily.
