Hydroxyzine: It is an antihistamine which may cause sedation, drowsiness, changes in blood pressure, dryness, exacerbate narrow angle glaucoma or urinary retention, may interact with other medications but in general is safe.

Yes and also therapy: Yes this can help in the short run but some counseling around anxiety management would be best for long term treatment

Maybe a little: Atarax (hydroxyzine) is an antihistamine, which can have some calming effect.  Although it's not clear it would stop a full-blown panic attack, it might help at least for awhile with anxiety.  However, if you are having anxiety and panic attacks, you would be best served by seeking out a psychiatrist (or child and adolescent psychiatrist if this is for a child) knowledgeable about treating this.

i am wanting to go out with my family but i have panic attacks. the dr gave me vistaril (hydroxyzine) 25mg to take for anxiety, will this make it to where i can go?

It may or may not: Give you the desired effect. One thing that you can do to self-calm or reduce anxiety is deep breathing.  Breath in slowly & deeply through your nostrils. Fill you lungs with air & hold for a five count.  Slowly exhale through an open mouth.  Don't focus on problems. Think only about your breathing.  Repeat x 12 or until you are calmer.
I would also encourage you to consider cognitive behavioral &gt;.

Are you a: heavy chronic drinker? If yes, are you experiencing withdrawal symptoms. This needs prompt medical intervention if that is a possible issue.

i started half a tablet of 50mg of sertraline once daily today. hydroxyzine has helped with my anxiety/panic attacks. is it safe to take my hydroxyzine 25mg?

Safe but may sedate: Sertraline is used to treat both depression/ anxiety. Medications such SSRI have a delay before they are effective. Until then patients' symptoms such as poor sleep or anxiety  will hopefully resolve over time but  may require meds for relief The more meds used, the greater the risk for drug drug interaction or additive side effects such as sedation. Watch for oversedation or difficulty driving-

can i still use medical marijuana while on escitalopram 10mg with 25mg hydroxyzine p? got two big panic attacks from a too high strain prior to presc.

May use.: Be very careful to take the correct dose of cannabinoids &amp; the proportion of CBD &amp; THC &amp; the form-smoking,liquid or tablet Etc

Go with the low dose.

Not recommended: Unless you have a specific formulation to be used as a chewable or administered under the tongue, most pills are meant to be swallowed.  Chewing a hydralazine tablet is not recommended for use as a result.

Panic attacks: Yes,I think you should go back to your doctor. I have tried Zoloft (sertraline) in the past and it worked.
