can a new dentist be untruthful to you when showing you your dental xrays, saying that you have 10 small cavities, when 6 months ago only had one.

Likely have 10: Anyone can lie. Dentists as a profession are ranked as one of the most trustworthy and honest. Sight unseen you probably have all those cavities. Sometimes it's subjective when to fill small ones. It's aways better to be proactive!, than to let small ones go and have big problems later on.

Toothpaste for brush: I am not understanding what toothpaste is going to do. My guess is it is one of 3 things, you need nothing, there is something that should be sealed with a plastic coating, or you need a filling.

Internet diagnosis: These types of situations require a clinical exam and x-rays along with other types of tests IN PERSON and cannot be properly or accurately diagnosed over the internet. Sorry. Perhaps see another dentist for a second opinion Medicines? Was the cavity filled? When or why not? perhaps another tooth or another problem?

: If your dentist examined the lesion and said it did not require attention now, have them keep an eye on it at your semiannual examinations. It may not need to be restored now, but there is no guarantee for future need.

: You've ask this in other posts, but the answer remains the same. Over the internet it is impossible to tell if those stains/lesions need immediate restoration. Your dentist has been trained to differentiate between stains and actual carious lesions over many years of schooling and experience. If you are truly concerned about the qualifications of your provider then seek a 2nd opinion locally.

Probably not: Probably not the small cavity.  More likely it's reaction to the infection (cavity) and surgery (filling).  May need root canal Rx.  Call your Dentist and report your problems.  Your Dentist will want to see you and/or refer you.  Call now.

i have 3 cavites small and visible. dentist did not fill them and said it has possibility to remineralize, black hole in teeth is very small and visible.i am afraid that those cavities might spread to other teeth. does cavity spread to other teeth?

: If it is visible, in time it will be more visible. Now have them filled with a composite to look natural. A healthy mouth will keep bacteria from spreading to other areas. X-rays will show extent of decay, but it is always prudent to eliminate decay.
