Endometriosis: Endometriosis usually causes chronic pelvic pain. It is due to an increase in production of inflammatory substances which may lead to scarring of the pelvic organs, thereby increasing your chances of infertility or an ectopic pregnancy. These inflamatory substances are also known to cause irregular menstruation and may occasionally prevent ovulation.

Possible, but rare: Endometriosis is a serious problem in which little pieces of tissue (similar to the uterine lining that bleeds and sheds each month) are trapped inside one's pelvis and abdomen. Rarely, women may have tissue trapped in the chest or other places. With each menstrual period, the trapped tissue sheds and bleeds on the inside of the abdomen (the blood has no way to leave the body), causing much pain.

Generally in pelvis: It can present with 
1. Pain with menses
2. Continuous pain throughout your cycle
3. Pain with intercourse
4. Heavy bleeding 
5. Pain with urination and defecation

it is more likely to be in other family members and is associated with 1/3 of infertility cases as it can cause anatomic abnormalities.

Few days: Even though half life of Lupron (leuprolide) is only  3 to 4 hrs  plasama levels will remain high for few more days (  missing one dose is not a big problem ).

Endometriosis: Endometriosis of the abdominal wall typically presents with a painful abdominal wall mass. Pain can be cyclic with menses or continuously present. Bleeding may also result. Surgery may be indicated for severe symptoms, advanced disease, or failure of medical therapy. Surgery may involve laparoscopic laser ablation or excision.

Varies: Certainly pregnancy should be the first goal. If you have not completed childbearing that should be the main focus. Having surgery on the ovary can lead to worsening infertility. Certainly you need a fertility specialist to coordinate any care since you need to be fully counseled on whether it is possible to have kids, how difficult it will or wont be, . And what surgery will help versus hurt you.

In some circumstance: Not sure exactly what you mean by "withdrawal bleeding".  If you mean that having a menstrual flow by withdrawing the hormones Progesterone and estrogen - yes that is the normal menstrual cycle.  A woman with endometriosis however in order to decrease her pain can stay on continuous hormones and thereby not have a withdrawal bleeding and thus avoid the cyclical pain.

no period since 2005.on continuous birthcontrol 4 endometriosis.want to get pregnant, off bc for 1week sofar.will body go thru puberty symptoms again?

No: no. However it may be several weeks before you have a period ( or you might have one soon.)

can you recommend bcp to replace my yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) for endometriosis because i am having rashes and feelingitchy all over my body. should i buy lower dosage?

Accepted Answer

Low Dose: I like the lower dose birth control pills, the 20mcg of estrogen pills.  There are many pills, both generic and brand name at this dose.  It should still help with your endometriosis.  Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) is the lower dose of yasmin, you might try that?  I personally like Mircette or kariva.  Sometimes it takes awhile to find the one that fits with your body.
