: Treatment of infertility with Letrozol/Clomid may result in spontaneous ovulation, however the timing of this with planned intercourse is variable.  An HCG "trigger shot" provides a more reliable "window" for potential pregnancy with planned insemination or sexual activity.

Depends: It may last up to two weeks in my personal experience. I treated a woman with Clomiphene citrate once who carried twins that were exactly two weeks apart in size & gestational age status. I postulated that she had ovulated twice, two weeks apart, & conceived with both ovulations. This is called superfecundity & can occur spontaneously.

Ovulation pain: Each month with ovulation, an ovarian cyst forms (follicle cyst) which contains a maturing egg. When the LH level "surges" at about mid cycle, ovulation occurs and the cyst ruptures, which causes pain on the side of the abdomen which produces the egg.  Some ovarian cysts do not contain an egg, and when they rupture, they are bigger and cause more pain.

Accepted Answer

Sure, but: Ovulation involves the release of an egg from one of the ovaries during each menstrual cycle.  It is possible to have more than one egg released during ovulation - that is how fraternal twins occur.  However, no form of birth control (including implanon) is known to affect the chances of having twins - fraternal or identical twins.

One time: You ovulate one time. Sometimes women will release two eggs at once.

Accepted Answer

No: Cervical mucus is over-rated as a test of ovulation.  It is variable between women and in the same woman month to month.  It was helpful when there was nothing better but now we have ovulation prediction tests at the pharmacy without a prescription.  This is a much better way to see if you are ovulating and when.   Most women who are having menses the same time every month are ovulating.

does plan b one step really work if i take it during ovulation or after ovulation? because wouldn't the egg have appeared already and have met sperm?

Works more than 1: Way. Plan b can prevent the ovary from releasing an egg, thickens cervical mucus which makes it harder for the sperm to reach the egg and thins the lining of the uterus to prevent implantation. You should use protection every single time you have vaginal intercourse if you are not ready to become a parent.

Repeat test: in 2 weeks for definite answer. though there are some sensitive tests, but your bs are not affected that fast.

i got my mense the last time on the 6th of march and it ended on the 10th of march i took ella one on the 12th of march and i ovulated on the 27th of march...i got egg white discharge. today is the 7th of april. i am still not getting my mense?

: If you have had unprotected sex during this time, you may be pregnant. Take a home pregnancy test to confirm. If negative, it is possible that you are experiencing an irregular cycle due to hormonal fluctuations. This can happen due to stress, lack of sleep, weight gain/loss, increased exercise and other reasons. See a Dr if you continue to have irregular periods more than 4 months.
