Probably not: Because asthma has a genetic component to it, in most cases you can't get "rid" of or "outgrow" asthma, you can only control it. Remember, asthma is inflammation, and studies suggest that even when patients feel fine and have no asthma symptoms there is likely some underlying inflammation present  in the airways at all times. Conditions that mimic asthma (like bronchitis) can resolve completely.

Not likely: Though you can reduce your attacks and appear to be "cured" asthma may last a lifetime. The best non-medication advice is to remove as many of your "triggers" from your life as possible. Cover mattresses with plastic barriers, remove rugs, stuffed animals, use air-conditioning and stay away from pollen and pollution as much as possible.

However, this is a significant amount of work, and it will still take about four months for the dander to disappear.

To control asthma, avoid triggers and with the help of an asthma specialist, a treatment plan can help.

Saline rinses of the nasal passages and eyes will help remove any dust or pollen that may be triggers of your allergic symptoms. Asthma is treated with medications prescribed by your doctor, but avoiding triggers can help.
