how long does it take for eczema to go away if i use hydro cortisone cream 1 percent and the eczema is on part of my back, part of the arms, neck,face?

Hydrocortisone 1%: Although most versions of hydrocortisone 1% cream or ointment are labeled as maximum strength, this only means maximum strength to be sold without a prescription.  Pharmacologically, hydrocortisone is a weak corticosteroid when compared to others in the same class. There are many, corticosteroid creams that are much more potent, but require a prescription.  I sugges a visit to a dermatologist.

i have eczema. its pretty bad on my arms and neck . i use lotions to keep it down and smooth but sometimes it flares up . recently a rash popped up on my leg . its eczema and ive never had it on my legs . what could be the cause ?

: If the rash is similar, eczema may be one cause. For itching, calamine often is helpful. Please see your PCP or urgent care. 
For long term skin care, discuss the use of hydrocortisone lotion.

i've always had eczema since a child. i used to get it on my hands constantly now i'm older and i get it on my neck, arms, face and hair, is it normal?

Atopic dermatitis: Atopic dermatitis (infantile eczema) is most common in babies and children. Some children with atopic dermatitis outgrow it or have milder cases as they get older. Also, a person may get atopic dermatitis as an adult. I am 70 yo and still have it. You can consult dermatologist for treatment.Harsh soaps or detergents, stress, dry cold weather worsen condition.

my baby is 2 and a half and has really bad eczema on her arms, neck, and now her face. can i apply benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream to help with the itching?

No do not use: benadryl (diphenhydramine) cream.. Get some aveeno oatmeal bath packets and put her in the bathtub with one of these packets dissolved to soothe the itch. They should help a lot. You can also use 1% hydrocortisone cream twice a day on lesions. These may help a bit. See her Dr. for something stronger.

my 11 month old has this rash looking stuff on her arms by her wrist and back of the neck going behind her ears and the front of her neck kind of on her chest it looks like little pin pricks but the er dr said it was eczema and not a petechial rash?

: Rashes often relate to transient issues like illness/allergy/contact with agents. A visual exam would make labeling more accurate &amp; since I cannot see it or review any pictures (on this site) you may just need to see your doc to sort it out.

i have had patches of eczema across my body for the last 4 months. arms, legs, neck and face. ive adjusted my diet to exclude gluten, processed sugars and dairy for the last 3 weeks and continue to moisturize my body daily. it doesnt seem to work. ?

Eczema: What you haven't told us, is if your eczema is treated with any specific medications. Has your primary care provider or your dermatologist made any specific recommendations above and beyond the lifestyle changes you have undergone?

got eczema on my neck and arm, is the vanos cream good to cure it?

Vanos: Vanos is a class 1 steroid used for steroid responsive dermatosis like eczema and psoriasis.  Being a class 1 steroid, this cream should be used intermittently and not long term.  Long term use can cause thinning of the skin an stretch marks.  We tell our patients to use vanos twice a day for two weeks then rest one week and repeat if necessary.  Do not use on the face.

Eczema: Proper treatment for eczema should start with identifying any possible triggers for worsening. A proper skincare regimen starting with a topical emollient is of utmost importance. Then depending on severity, medications such as topical steroids or other prescription products are available. talk with your pediatrician about tips to limit eczema flare ups (bath time, light towel drying, etc)

"Asthma of the skin": that's atopic eczema, and it tends to flare up as with asthma, please visit your doctor, you might need prescription medications besides skin care, good luck

Eczema: See a dermatologist so they may properly diagnose and treat the condition. Eczema responds to topical corticosteroid and non corticosteroid creams and moisturizers
