how can a person be in the hospital  for heart problems, had 4 chest x-rays normal blood work 4 times. 2 months later dxed with lung cancer with mets to liver and spine. trying hard to understand this i keep thinking something was missing?

Type of cancer: Small cell cancer of the lung can grow and spread rapidly and create the picture you described. The response to any disease, including lung cancer is genetically controlled. What you described is not common but not unheard of.

i fell&scratched my back against the wall.had a chest x-ray & my lungs are fine.but my doc said i had mild degenerative changes in the thoracic spine.what are treatment options
for this problem?i've had no pain in the upper back.have lower back pain.

Ignore it: This means nothing, especially in the absence of symptoms. It is a normal result of aging.

Yeyes: Yes torn muscles can cause problems with spine. Everyone is born with sweat glands that function differently. See your doctor for an evaluation.

I'm not sure: I completely understand but very likely the fall you experienced is the main cause of your symptoms. Often a fall can result in muscle and soft tissue injuries that cause malalignment and are worse in one position (sitting) or another. Perhaps you are saying you had low back pain prior to this. Your health or sports medicine professional, or physical therapist is the place to start for analysis.

Chest pain: There are many causes of chest pain, the heart is  one, intestinal gas and thoracic musculoskeletal pains are very common, anxiety and panic attacks likewise are frequent causes. You should always ask the doctors who see you what they think is the problem you came for and what to do about it.

Possible MI: Pain in the back that radiates to the chest and makes you feel weak could be sign of heart attack.  You need to be checked out at the emergency room.  If heart attack is ruled out, then you need to see your primary care doctor to have different forms of arthritis orp possible infection ruled out.

Stage IV treatment.: The treatment of a spine metastasis is variable based upon the big picture. Sometimes chemotherapy makes sense. Sometimes radiotherapeutic agents or even radiation therapy makes sense. If it is causing an acute spinal cord compression, emergent surgery then radiation is often used. One needs to be evaluated by a team of people used to treating spine metastases and to have correct imaging (ct/mr).

Not well: A thoracic spine MRI is set up to visualize the anatomy of the thoracic spine. Some parts of your lung will be seen but not the entire lung and not with protocols that are designed to be diagnostic for lung disease.

Kyphosis: Osteoporosis is the likely culprit. Brittle bones crack and fracture throwing the spine out of balance, resulting in increased pressure in an asymmetrical fashion, leading to more cracks and more bending in the same direction. Scoliosis is often also present. Chronic intake of certain medications such as steroids can cause or worsen the problem.

Pleuritic pain: Which shoulder? What seems to elicit the pain? Whats the severity? How long does it last? How long have you had it? Is the onset gradual or sudden
Depending on the answer, could be muscle soreness, costochondritis, pulmonary embolus,  shingles, cholecystitis, anxiety, indigestion, or just gas,  just to name a few...some urgent...some not. If it persists or worsens a trip to the doctor is in order
