I recently had a sharp pain run from half way down my spine to the top of my shoulder, it is coupled with a bubbling feeling in my lung.

Pleuritic pain: Which shoulder? What seems to elicit the pain? Whats the severity? How long does it last? How long have you had it? Is the onset gradual or sudden Depending on the answer, could be muscle soreness, costochondritis, pulmonary embolus, shingles, cholecystitis, anxiety, indigestion, or just gas, just to name a few...some urgent...some not. If it persists or worsens a trip to the doctor is in order
