Not likely: If it migrated all the way up there you would have pain and congestion. Take the rest of it out and be glad it was not worse.

See your doctor: If you had a nasal septum piercing and it has become infected then you need to see your doctor.  While bactroban may help, a septal infection can become a bad thing very quickly.  And, needless to say, i would really think twice about ever going back to the same person for any body piercings.

If the stud grows into your skin it may need to be cut out. Staphylococcus ; pseudomonas  are just a couple of possible infections you may get. Without pus it is hard to know if this is an allergic rxn or infection. Get evaluated.

A lot: Each person has a different tolerance level for pain. The pain caused by a piercing depends on body location. Ear lobe piercings are usually tolerable. Piercings through cartilage hurt more.

Septal piercing: It is not advisable to pierce your septum. If you have already and you are experiencing pain, have your nose evaluated for infection.
