Get yourself: Checked for hormonal imbalance that could contribute to the irregularity of your menstrual periods. Being overweight can stimulate overproduction of estrogen from your adipose tissue, which will cause prolonged amenorrhea (lack of menstrual flow).  Try to lose 10 lbs to see if your period will improve. At least it is a way to motivate yourself.

A : A 30 lb weight gain in a 5 month period is cause for concern - especially if her diet is unhealthy. A healthy weight gain for someone her size/age trying to gain weight should only be 2-4 lbs per month.  You should give her doctor a call to discuss her weight gain.  It is likely from her diet, but it could be from a medical problem such as a thyroid disorder, or a side effect of a medication she is taking.  It is important to figure out why she has had such a rapid weight gain before the problem gets too out of control.  Good luck!

my period has been skipping a month over a 4 month period (2 missed) i have no excessive weight gain or loss, nor to much exercise, pregnancy is ruled out also. my periods were always normal so i'm stressing out, what's wrong?

Missed periods: Would consider U/S and check for polycystic ovarian syndrome . Check  thyroid , prolactin, FSH/ LH ( should be normal you are young) , androgens  . May also be stress.  f/u/ w/ doc

Yes: Please see your physician for your complaints.  Some diabetics develop gastroparesis.  Your doctor can explain it to you.  Please schedule appointment as soon as you can.

Not enough info: It is worth getting checked out. Thyroid issues can cause weight gain and constipation, which can cause back pain.  Just having all those changes something isn't right and you shouldn't ignore it.

If a body-builder: Very hard for exercise to increase weight unless one is a body-builder. Exercise burns calories, so if one does not eat or drink more calories than he is using during his exercise, then his body will burn up fat as fuel. However, if a person drinks a large orange juice (about 300 calories) while exercising, and exercises away only 200 calories, he will still get fatter even though he's exercising.

Wt GAIN: Baseline weight for her height is at low end of normal bmi range.  Her wt gain of 22lbs is slightly ahead of normal for 24 wks (ave wt gain for 24 wks is about 15 lbs).  However, given her low starting wt, i wouldn't be concerned about the gain thus far and would expect her to only gain another 10-15 lbs for the rest of the pregnancy which would still put her in the normal range of 25-35 lbs total.

: 100 gm  sugar is not too much, unless you are talking about added sugar and not the total amount of sugar normally present in foods. It may predispose you to developing diabetes, depending on your genes.
For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs.

Not directly: Not from the coffee itself; however, if you use sugar and/or cream or milk, you add calories which, if consumed in excess, can add weight over time. After a long time, the caffeine may affect the function of your adrenal glands, which can result in difficult weight management later on.
