Diabetes and alcohol: There are a few things to consider before drinking tequila as a diabetic. If you already have neuropathy or retinopathy, it is not recommended to drink as it worsens both conditions. If you drink, you need to ask your dr. If the diabetic medicines that you take get affected by alcohol. Drinking blocks your liver from producing glucose so it is best to drink with food and not before you exercise.

Possible allergy: Tequila is distilled liquor derived from the agave plant. Case reports of allergy to tequila have occurred. Alcohol allergy, also, can occur, though not commonly. There are multiple other mechanisms possible: reactions to contaminants, flushing related to problems with metabolism(more often in Orientals), nonspecific histamine release, etc. Interesting alc. may possib increase allergy propensities

this past year after drinking tequila drinks the bottom of my feet itch & just recently i have started getting terrible headaches & now throwing up after 1 drink. vodka does the same but much milder. rum has no effect. what could this be?

: One of the best things about the Nature of the Body is that it tells the Body what it does not like. The Body is signaling One it does not like Alcohol. Feet itch and Headaches might just be the first signs of more progressive illness, like Liver Disease, if one continues to ignore these warnings.

You get drunk: While alcohol is a disinfectant and does kill germs and while there is some evidence that drinking alcohol with raw oysters lessens one's risk of getting disease, i wouldn't count on it as a method to avoid food-poisoning.  You'd have to drink so much to kill bacteria that you'd be drunk and lot's of food poisoning involves a toxin from bacteria which isn't killed by heat or alcohol!

Please clarify: You are asking if a urine sample taken before you drank alcohol would pick up the alcohol you would drink later?  That makes no sense.

having liquid yellow diarrhoea after drinking tequila the other night, was sick yesterday.. what could this be? can i eat yoghurt, noodles or soup?

Was it heavy?: Heavy drinking of anything can result in diarrhea, because of direct toxic effects of alcohol on the gut, as well as damaging the pancreas (which usually results in pain as well). Dairy products of any kind are not good if you have diarrhea.  Clear liquids (water, juices like apple or grape), consomme soup (no noodles), jello etc. Is best until diarrhea clears. Pepto bismol and Imodium (loperamide) may help.

Alcohol effects: Alcohol has a tendency to irritate the gut. Some juices can have a similar effect.

Yes, but: Yes, but why would you want to?  Because it's packaged for children, it's more expensive than similar electrolyte solutions made for adults.
