To lose one pound you need to generate a negative balance of about 4500 calories. So reduce your caloric intake accordingly. It would be useful to consult a dietitian for advise on foods and quantity of foods.

Also eat healthy food with ample vegetables, fruits and grains supplemented with proteins. Avoid fats and oily foods. Proteins are best found in eggs, tofu, fish and nuts and in. Low fat dairy and yogurt. Avoid sugars and too many sweets.
