IBS biopsy: In large part the reason irritible bowel syndrome is called a syndrome rather than a disease is because there are not consistent (or usually any) findings on biopsy of the bowel. Unwary or inexperienced pathologists may note "non-specific" inflammation, but these are most often within the spectrum of normal morphology.

biopsy confirmed inflammation on cecum and ileum but prometheus panel neg for crohns and uc. stool neg for infec. only take synthroid (thyroxine). cause?

Crohn's: Crohn's is still not off the list, a Prometheus is not a definitive , be all end all test. Rarely does the biopsy come back saying this is absolutely Crohn's. You need to input of a good GI doc.There are other test such as a fecal calprotectin .

a. stomach, biopsy: gastric mucosa with focal inactive chronic inflammation and reactive changes. i cant get ahold of my doctor for the past 3 days and i got my biopsy results back on my chart, can someone explain what this mean?

: No cancer, not even pre-cancer. The changes are non-specific and not a cause for concern.

i had a uterine biopsy done last thursday i got my results back this afternoon, im not understanding the what the results indicate "secretory endometrium with prominent decidualized stromal change with acute inflammation and breakdown?

endoscopy couple yrs ago all good with biopsy but gi consultant said i get inflammation from time to time so take ,for short time, lansoprazole or ranatidine ,what causes this?back on lansoprazole few weeks from acid vapour at night burping a lot too

Inflammation: If you're referring to recurrent gastritis(inflammation of the stomach lining),symptoms can recur from dietary indiscretions, stress, alcohol, caffeine, certain medications like Advil,aspirin,Aleve and nicotine.

27/f. biopsy results from flexible sigmoidoscopy: mild inflammation. what does this mean? do i have colitis? dr. wants me to come back for appt.

Colitis: There are several different types of colitis.  From your comments it doesn't sound like you have colitis.  Mild inflammation is normal in the colon.

This is serious: I haven't seen your glass slides, but as i'd urge you to consider it wegener's granulomatosis until proved otherwise.  Your physician would do well to encourage your local pathologist to send out for consultation to his/her ten smartest friends for their thoughts. Nobody knows everything. Good luck.

i got a vulva punch biopsy in march, dr. did not put stitches. got results back as perifolliculitis mixed with inflammation. that same weekend i got a fever and sore throat, then developed red rash in perianal area could this be from biopsy?

Likely unrelated: Unfortunately the germ causing a sore throat &amp; fever could be strep A which can &amp; does cause peri-anal infection/rash in some people. The infectious process can travel the length of your digestive system from end to end. The procedure itself did not give you the throat germ.

Chronic inflammation: The tissue provided to the pathologist showed chronic inflammation. No cancer was seen. The biopsy was not diagnostic of a particular disease. Biopsy results need to be interpreted in association with rest of your medical history, symptoms, signs, and other tests and imaging studies.

i  just got a biopsy done  in my breast got the results is necrotizing granulomatous inflammation, is this serious?what`s the treatment for that?

Not serious: It is not serious and nothing to worry about. I don't think you need to worry about treatment at this stage. When you see your Ob/Gyn next time, he will decide if you need additional treatment or not.
