i am currently taking wellbutrin buspiron aripiprazole xanax and zolpidem. i am getting a neck lift. are these medications safe to take when i do this?

: You need to review these medications with the doctor doing the procedure. If you are getting anesthesia, talk to the anesthesiologist about these meds ahead of time. Many of these meds cause sedation and this can cause respiratory depression. If any of the meds are as needed, you may need to not take them in the 24 hours prior to the procedure. Talk to the anesthesiologist. Good luck!

You can purchase this on amazon.Com for ~$60. Have used it myself and on multiple patients with excellent results. Don't use if you have osteoporosis or neurological symptoms. Works best on chronic pain. Sometimes on acute symptoms.

No: Wuthdrwals from xanax (alprazolam) is not related to the description you gave about your throat.  It is a seperate problem and you need to talk to your primarycare physician.

Never stop your meds: Never stop your meds w/u consulting your dr. First.Especially something like xanax (alprazolam) where you can experience withdrawl sx even seizures. Call your dr. Asap. Smoking can cause loss of taste.
Ask dr. About seeing a specialist if he/she cannot help.Dentist, ENT ? But i think the smoking is the problem perhaps along with alcohol.Later and xanax (alprazolam) not good anyway! also therapy not psych meds!good GI w/u.

Tell Dr ASAP: This might be side effect related and your doctor needs to help evaluate it. If being slowly taken off Xanax (alprazolam) works, it 's good (CBT therapy can reduce anxiety problems) but if there are still issues like those - neurology testing might be needed. First is to let Dr know and try reducing the Xanax (alprazolam) together.

See a Different Doc: If you don't want pain meds, see a fellowship trained pain/spine specialist that avoids opiates if possible.  There are many options for your pain issues, so they may be able to help.  The prescription you've been written is a recipe for disaster!

i rarely take xanax (alprazolam) for anxiety, but yesterday i took 1.5mg over the course of the entire day. it's been 24 hours can i drink alcohol? or wait longer?

That depends: On other factors as well.  Also are you presently on any other medications?   Is drinking = 1 beer or a six pack?   More information needed.  Hope this helps.
