Vocal cord disease: If by 'laryngitis' you mean 'loss of voice or hoarseness' then you may have a vocal cord/larynx problem. The possible diagnoses are: vocal nodule, polyp, ge -reflux or tumor.  You need to see an ENT (ear-nose-throat) doctor to get evaluated.  The ENT  can pass a small scope down to the vocal cords to get the correct diagnosis.  If you are a smoker, this is a good time to quit. Hope you are better!

is it possible for flonase to cause voice hoarseness or laryngitis?  my voice seems to be getting hoarse after a couple days and i think i noticed a similar problem last year when i tried flonase.

Consider seeing ENT: I haven't seen all your previous post, but if you have had a hoarse voice for more than two weeks(as it's not uncommon for laryngitis to last up to two week) then you should consider seeing an ear, nose, throat(ENT) doctor for a formal evaluation to better determine as to the cause of your symptoms. i had a cold 4 weeks ago and lost my voice pretty bad. my voice came back but i get very hoarse easily (intermittently, usually triggered if i talk a lot or drink alcohol). is it normal for laryngitis to last this long?

: That would not be common.  Ask about reflux. If you use y0ur voice a lot it may be hanging on I assume you do not smoke.

Depends: If the symptoms are caused by a viral infection, antibiotics are not effective and symptoms resolve on their own in several days or so. A strep infection, documented by a rapid throat culture, does require antibiotics and would respond  after appropriate antibiotic treatment within a week as a rule
