Baby won't be: If I have reason to drug test your newborn I can find any drug exposure back to about 20 wks. Your pee would be clean, but that is not where I look. If you are on the Child &amp; Family Services watch list,have suspicious visitors or other factors that raise concerns it will be found. You need to be up front with your doc so they can help you &amp; baby.

Days 2 couple months: Depending on the use, frequency, and duration of use. The heavier the use and the longer you using it, the longer it will be in your system. It is stored in the fat and in the hair which can be detected several months out..

Single use marijuana can be detected 12 to 24 hours in blood. Regular use marijuana can be detected for 2 to 7 days in blood. Marijuana regular use detected in hair for months. Single use might not be picked up in hair.

The situation is different for occasional users (no more than once a week).

It stays: The hair that was growing at the time that you smoked will have the marijuana in it. So the follicle (roots) that grew while you were smoking will get marijuana in it and those hairs will always have marihuana in that small section. So you need to wait a few months and then cut your hair really short to have no marijuana in your hair. One time marijuana use might not be detected but more will.

Weeks to months: Thc is stored in body fat and slowly metabolized, so it builds up in the body with increased use. I'm not familiar with mouth swab testing, however for urine drug testing results depend on how much and how frequently a patient has used thc. A test will usually remain positive for  1 week after one-time or rare light use, 1 month after heavy use, or several months for habitual, heavy use.

Questionable: it depends on how much you have been smoking.  Saliva tests are reasonably new the standard is urine and it may take 4 to 6 weeks to clear ant the only way to clear it is time.

Complicated cocktail: Mdma is a reuptake inhibitor of serotonin, Dopamine (da) & norepinephrine. Long-term use can damage the serotonin system. Cocaine blocks dat (da transporter), inhibits MAO (making amine transmitters more available) & down-regulates da receptors. Thc via cb1 receptors influences hippocampus & can interfere w/ memory.  Depending on use patterns, may take up to a year to recover.  See comment.

Don't expect it: Babies have the ability to hold on to exposures in the womb that are available to testing after birth.As soon as baby starts forming poo (after 12 wks) and growing hair (earlier) they retain traces of any drug exposure. Mothers pee may clear by a few days or weeks if a light user, but if you become a target of child and family services, expect to run into big problems. You lose baby in my state
